As a result of the almost linear damping characteristic it provides a very smoothenergy absorptionwith minimum reaction loads on themachine. The excellent temperature characteristicof the material provides consistent dampingperform- anceover a temperatureof -40 °F to120 °F. The low installedweight, theeconomicprice and the longoperating lifeof up to1million cyclesmake this an attractive alternative to hydraulic endpositiondamping, if themoving mass does not have to stop in anexact datum position and it is not necessary to absorb 100%of the incomingenergy. The space savingpackagesize ranges from Ø 0.55" up to Ø 4.21" and is very simply andquickly installedwith the supplied specially stepped mounting screw. The TS series havebeen specially developed toprovide maximum energycapacity in the minimummounting space in the capacity range from17.7 in-lbs up to8,550 in-lbs. Lifeexpectancy is extremely high; up to twenty times longer thanurethanedampers, up to ten times longer than rubber bumpers andup to five times longer than steel springs.
