The bumper typeTA from the innovative ACE TUBUS series is amaintenance-free, self-containeddampingproductmade from a special Co-Polyester Elastomer. As a result of thedegressivedamping characteristic it pro- vides ahighenergy absorption at thebegin- ningof its stroke. Theexcellent temperature characteristicof thematerial provides consistent dampingperformanceover a tem- peratureof -40 °F to120 °F. The low installed weight, theeconomicprice and the long operating lifeof up to1million cyclesmake this an attractive alternative tohydraulic end positiondamping, if themovingmass does not have to stop in anexact datumpositionand it is not necessary toabsorb100%of the incoming energy. The space-savingpackagesize ranges from Ø 0.47" up to Ø 4.57" and is very simply andquickly installedwith the supplied specially steppedmounting screw. The TA series havebeen specially developed to provide maximumenergycapacity in the minimummountingspace in the capacity range from17.7 in-lbs up to26,119 in-lbs. Lifeexpectancy is extremely high; up to twenty times longer thanurethanedampers, up to ten times longer than rubber bumpers andup to five times longer than steel springs.
