They are availablewithbody diameters from 0.47" (12mm) to2.76" (70mm) andwith stroke lengths of up to31.50" (800mm). As standard they are supplied as double acting dampersbut a single acting version is also available. The single acting version is con- trollable inonedirectiononly, with free flow in theoppositedirection. The travel speed is adjustable and remains constant throughout the stroke. Thenewadjustment segment on thepistonmakessensitivespeed adjustment easy. ACE’s hydraulicdampers sport the sleekdesignof our gas springs. Theanodizedaluminumbodyand the piston rodwithaspecialwear-resistant coatingprovideanexceptionally long lifetimeandexcellent corrosionprotec- tion. Awide rangeof screwonmounting accessoriesmake them very versatile andeasy to install. Typical applications includemachine guards and lids, fire safety flaps anddoors, dampingoscillations of suspended loads (Power andFreeSystems) etc. Function: The stepless adjustment of thedamping rate is achievedby pulling (or pushing) thepiston rod to its fullyextended (or compressed) positionand then turning thepiston rod.
